Your three ways from LAS to the Strip

Harry Reid International Airport, code LAS, has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. From there you can take a taxi, a rideshare or a public bus. There is no monorail at the airport, so the monorail only helps once you are on the Strip.

Taxis charge by hotel zone, so you can see the base fare before you get in. Rideshare prices change in the app. The bus is the cheapest option, but it runs on a fixed route and not to every hotel door. Pick by how much luggage you have and how late you land.

Taxi zones and fares

The same zone fare applies in both directions between the airport and a hotel.

ZoneAreaFare (2026)Hotel examples
1Sunset Road north to Tropicana$22.25Mandalay Bay, Luxor, MGM Grand
2Tropicana north to Flamingo$26.25Bellagio, Paris, Horseshoe, ARIA
3Flamingo north to Stratosphere$30.25Flamingo, LINQ, Venetian, Wynn, Resorts World

Extras on top of the zone fare

Expect a $3 card fee, a $2.40 airport pickup fee and a 3 percent excise tax on fares and fees. Fuel and event surcharges can apply too. Because of these items, the final total can be higher than the zone fare. Ask the driver for the total before you set off, and add a tip.

Check your own hotel

A hotel across the street can lie in a different zone. Look up your hotel by name rather than guessing from the map.

Rideshare and the bus

Use the marked pickup points, not the arrivals curb.

Rideshare pickup

At Terminal 1, follow the signs to Level 2 of the parking garage. At Terminal 3, the pickup is on the garage valet level. Uber and Lyft prices are set in the app and move with demand, so do not compare them with the fixed taxi zones.

The airport bus from Terminal 1

From baggage claim, go down one level to Level Zero, cross at the marked crosswalk and turn right to the covered RTC stop. Routes 108 and RED LINE leave from there. RED LINE replaced route 109.

The bus from Terminal 3

From Terminal 3, an inter-terminal shuttle takes you to Terminal 1, where the bus stop is. Check the current airport signs when you arrive, because bus routes change.

Time, traffic and roadworks

No single ride time fits every trip. Terminal, hotel, street and time of day all change it, and roadworks on the airport approach can add time. Leave a buffer if you have a show or a tour booked on the day you land.

Arrival day and the way back

A few things that make the first and last ride easier.

Taxi first, monorail later

The monorail does not reach the airport, so your first ride is a taxi, rideshare or bus. Once you have dropped your bags, the monorail and the Deuce bus take over. Fares and hours are on the getting-around page.

Getting around the Strip โ†’

Going back to the airport

The zone fare is the same in both directions, so your return by taxi costs the same as the ride in. For rideshare, use the pickup point at your hotel and set the airport terminal in the app. Check the terminal on your ticket first.

Landing on a show or tour day

If you book a show or a tour on the day you arrive, plan the hotel stop first. Baggage claim, the ride and check-in all take time. Doors, start times and meeting points for shows and tours are on their own pages.

Shows โ†’

Heading straight to the Sphere

The Sphere has its own rideshare zone at Manhattan Street and Westchester Drive. Bags are limited inside, and large bags and backpacks are not allowed, so drop your luggage at the hotel first.
